Plantagenet Plantes was started as a specialist perennial nursery by Bella and David Gordon in the Loire Valley near Doué la Fontaine (49) in 1998.  Since then, our team has grown, as has our range of plants and services.  We offer the following services throughout France:

Online Plant sales

You can order from our extensive range of perennials, grasses, and ferns by using the online catalogue.  If you need help, contact us by phone during office hours (Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm): 02 41 38 14 62 or send us an email in English.

Plant orders can be collected from the Nursery but only by appointment.

Visiting and buying at the Nursery

Our Nursery and Gardens are open without appointment in April and May on Friday afternoons (1.30pm to 5.00pm) and Saturday mornings (9.30am to 12.30am). We hold an open weekend every year at the end of September.

If you would like to visit us at other times please make an appointment beforehand. 

Garden Design, Maintenance & Consulting

We've been designing gardens of varied sizes and in different regions of France for many years now.  Our Design work is principally 'plant-orientated'.  If you think we can help you with a project, from a simple bed to designing a whole garden, please get in touch with us.  You can see some photos here.

We can also help you build and maintain your garden, using our staff if you are in our area or organising teams of contractors local to you.  

Teaching

We run regular courses in French about gardening and designing with perennials.
If you're an English gardening group or just a group of English-speaking friends, we'd be happy to organise something for you. More information about gardening courses here.
